What is a fiction? It is a fully invented story that consists of a well engineered plot. Since a fiction is a false story, it is obvious the same story has nothing to do with reality. But this doesn’t mean the fiction may not have any link with real life. When an author or novelist decides to write a fiction, he may always use some insights drawn from reality. This occurs when the writer creates a book set during an event happened really. In this case, the fiction may have an historical event as background and an invented or imaginary plot. Inside the fiction, however, characters must be linked to the historical event or time. Hence, you mustn’t create a modern woman in a fiction set in the middle age, for instance. This is the first rule to write a fiction book: never mix incoherent elements in the story, unless you want to write a fairy tale or a fantastic story where a modern woman travels into time and ends up in the Middle Age or in other ancient epoch. The second rule to write a fiction book is creativity, a high dose of that. With no creativity , it is impossible to write any type of story, imagine a fiction! Sometimes it may happen an uncreative author can write a biography, an article for newspapers, but not a fiction! If you desire to write a fiction book, but you lack creativity, you may help to increase it by reading many fiction books. Read every day a fiction about and you will see that after a while you will be capable to begin writing your fiction. After resolving the creativity trouble, you must set the first steps of your story. In the literature field, a story consists of three fundamental components: start, develop and conclusion. There is also a Latin expression that translates the word “start” in “incipit”. Incipit is the first step which usually decides the success or the failure of your book. In a fiction book, a good incipit begins in the middle of the story and never before or in the early of the same. Hence, I suggest you starting the story with a scene where the main characters to seem committed to long. During the development of the plot, you may add further information about the same characters, maybe about their previous life or about a secret they have kept for many years. As you can see, the ideas to write a fiction are endless. The final stage of the story matches with the one we call “conclusion”. Even to conclude a fiction book, you need a high and a good rate of creativity. The conclusion often decides whether your book is good or not. If you ends with a clear final, then you don’t mean to write the sequel, If you end with an incomplete final it is probable you want to write the sequel. The modern rules of writing suggest ending a fiction book in a poetic and evanescent way, with no a real conclusion, in order to write the sequel in case of a success of the book.
